Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 8, 2026

Forged builds tools for the people who build everything else — and that means everyone. We're committed to making our resume, cover letter, and interview-prep tools usable for workers and students of all abilities, including those who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is the bar used by most educational institutions and the basis for Section 508 expectations. We test against it as we build and treat accessibility defects as real bugs, not nice-to- haves.

What we've done

  • Form fields across the core workflows — resume optimizer, mock interview setup, and the institutional inquiry form — have programmatically associated labels so screen readers announce them correctly.
  • Interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
  • Icon-only buttons carry text alternatives for assistive technology.
  • We use semantic HTML and a declared page language so the content structure is conveyed accurately.

Where we're still improving

Accessibility is ongoing work, and we'd rather be honest than overclaim. We are actively extending programmatic labels to every secondary and administrative form, reviewing color contrast on accent elements, and expanding our keyboard and screen-reader test coverage. If you hit a barrier we haven't caught yet, telling us is the fastest way to get it fixed.

Need help or hit a barrier?

Email hello@forgedresume.com with the page and what you were trying to do. We'll respond and, where needed, provide the information or function in an accessible alternative. Institutional partners can request our current accessibility conformance details for procurement review at the same address.
